YELLOW

Dress: Zara | Bag: Pimkie | Necklace: Links of London | Shoes: Independent shop in Spain
-----------------------------------------

I barely ever wear yellow, although it's fast becoming one of my favourite colours! I got this amazing canary yellow lace dress in the Zara sale, for such a bargain! I've said it a hundred times on here, but as far as sales go, Zara never fails to deliver the goods! I'm so happy I bought it, because not only is it super Summery, but it's also so easy to dress up or down! One of my favourite colour combos is yellow and silver, so I teamed the dress up with my metallic trainers, for a more casual look.

TRIP TO IBIZA // MARBLE ARC (PART 2)

Both bikinis - Rip Curl from Marble Arc
----------------------------------------------
Considering that I come from a warm place, with several beaches right on my doorstep, I never really put much thought into my swimwear, and pretty much always end up buying last-minute cheap pieces from various different shops on the high-street. Most of those have ended up being uncomfortable, or unflattering, or too sheer, or not long-lasting. This year I decided I wanted to invest in some quality bikinis that I know will last me a lot longer than the standard 3 month lifespan of the others in my collection.

Marble Arc's swimwear section is really a feast for the eyes; racks upon racks of bikinis and one-pieces, in a huge range of colours, styles, and brands. These two bikinis, both of which I wore throughout my stay in Ibiza, and both of which are by Rip Curl; one of my favourite swimwear brands, were the first ones to catch my attention! I usually struggle with bikinis a little, but both of these fit really well, and feel secure on my body (you ladies know what I'm talking about). The fact that they're so damn comfortable is really a testament to their quality, and soo worth the price!

Part 3 coming soon, featuring my final piece from Marble Arc!

TRIP TO IBIZA // MARBLE ARC (PART 1)

Dress: Glamorous via Marble Arc | Espadrilles: Indie shop in Shere | Belt: H&M | Sunnies: Ray-Ban
-------------------------------------------

Marble Arc, located right in the heart of Gibraltar's town centre, isn't just Gib's leading high-street store, but is really a one stop shop; a sure favourite amongst locals and also tourists. Not only do they sell clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women and kids, but they really cater to all styles, budgets and occasions. With a girly trip to Ibiza right around the corner, I decided to pop in and scour through all the new-in pieces they had brought in for Summer, from some of my favourite brands!

Off-the-shoulder tops and dresses have been all over the place this season, but I had refrained from purchasing any until recently because they had never really been my thing in the past. When I spotted this playsuit, by the brand Glamorous, I was drawn in by the print, first and foremost, as well as the gorgeous mauve and taupe tones, which I really don't have anything like in my wardrobe. I decided to try it on and actually really fell in love with the straps and off-the-shoulder sleeves combo; so feminine and on trend, but also incredibly comfortable! Also, if you happen to be averse to tops/dresses/playsuits that bare your shoulders like I was, you can literally just slide the sleeves right up, and voilà: you just have yourself a normal playsuit! I wore this all day for a relaxing boat trip to Formentera, and it has now literally become one of my most worn pieces in my wardrobe!

Watch this space for Part 2 and 3 of my Ibiza series, with more awesome pieces from Marble Arc!

TREND: RIBBED DRESS

Dress: River Island | Choker: Topshop | Shoes: Converse
----------------------------------------

I picked up this dress in the River Island sale a couple of weeks ago - such a great bargain at just £12. I had never quite gotten around to jumping on the ribbed dress bandwagon as I wasn't sure if it would flatter my shape or not. To be honest, I'm still not quite sure it does, as I'm quite pear-shaped, but anyway, I just decided to roll with it. I think this dress would look so cute paired up with a chunky knit cardigan and some lace-up sandals, but I decided to toughen it up a little with my Pink Floyd converse and tattoo choker. I love dresses like this because they make for fantastic transitional pieces that can be worn from day to night (especially somewhere more grungy like Shoreditch), and are also perfect for the warmer-but-not-warm-enough Spring weather we keep dipping in and out of at the moment.

ASOS 90s STYLE DUNGAREES

T-shirt: Topshop | Dungarees: ASOS | Bomber: H&M | Necklace: Topshop | Shoes: Rihanna x Puma
----------------------------------------------------

I featured these ASOS dungarees in my December wishlist, so my best friend had a peek & ever so sneakily bought them for me for Christmas! Yay! They're denim but they don't really feel like it - on ASOS they're actually described as 'stretch cotton denim' which really is how I would explain the feel of the material. This makes them so much easier to move in, & they don't have the restrictive feeling that the more old-school tough denim dungarees have. Apart from being super comfy, the thing I like most about them is that they can double up as both dungarees and as trousers if you wear something over the top of them. Sometimes I find myself getting into a monotonous cycle of just wearing black skinny jeans everyday, and feeling quite uninspired, but this is such a fantastic alternative, while still allowing you to remain weather-appropriate.
