CIRCLES & STRIPES

T-shirt: Topshop | Shorts: Forever 21 | Bomber jacket: H&M | Shoes: Converse
------------------------------------

Here's a quick post featuring one of my new favourite combos that I wore for a cycle along the river; I've been loving pairing circles and stripes lately! It's probably a combination that shouldn't work, but I feel like both prints are subtle enough that they don't particularly overwhelm each other.

RIPPED JEANS

Crop top/Kimono/Jeans: Topshop | Bag: Gifted | Heels: ALDO
-------------------------------------------------

I love these lace-up heels so much; they have the ability to make any outfit look good! I had never really jumped on the ripped jeans bandwagon, but as result of desperately needing a pair for my "uniform" as a backstage dresser at Runway 2015, I bought these! I'm so happy I did because they just make any outfit look that little bit more edgy, and are super high-waisted too.

I'm also loving this kimono I picked up in the Topshop sale! I just can't get enough of the contrasting stripes and flowers print; so gorgeous, and so pretty paired with the salmon crop top!

STRIPES AND LIME

Crop: Topshop | Shorts: Forever 21 | Sandals: Forever 21 | Sunnies: ALDO | Necklace: Topshop
---------------------------------------

I've been loving these striped Forever 21 shorts recently. Usually I'm a size XS, but because I purchased these in a Small, they're not as high-waisted as I had initially expected them to be. I'm actually so glad that they're not, because I feel that their slouchyness adds a certain cool and effortless vibe to an outfit that is otherwise more put together. I love the contrast between the shorts and the lime crop, and the lace up sandals just finish the whole look off perfectly, for that chilled out aesthetic.

UNICORN SLIDES

Top: Your Eyes Lie via ASOS | Dungarees: Topshop | Sliders: Schuh | Sunglasses: RayBan
---------------------------------------------

Long time no post! I'm finally back home in Gibraltar, with nothing but beaching, tanning, boating and blogging to occupy my time! Feel free to give me a follow if you'd like to keep up to date with my Summery looks; I'll be updating regularly while I'm here!

For my first day back, I decided to pull out my dungarees for the first time in over a year. I love the wash on these, and the fit - although slightly too tight for my liking - is really flattering, and appropriate for both super slouchy beach looks and also more feminine day-time vibes. Here I've paired them with this cool Aztec print crop top - I'm loving the high neck; it's something a little different for me - and my new unicorn sliders, which I've been wearing to death recently!

GLADIATORS

 T-shirt: Topshop | Shorts: Topshop | Sandals: Forever 21 | Bag: H&M
-----------------------------------

I just love it when you wear two contrasting prints that you hadn't really thought of pairing before, and it just seems to come together so seamlessly. In this case, I think this is not only because the colours complement each other so well, but also because the prints are minimal and pretty equal in their ability to draw in the eye - no one item overpowers the other. I decided to team up this look with my new gladiator sandals; I've been loving them recently! Finally, I topped it all off with my cute fringed bag, to complete that 70's, but not-too-trend-led look.

TROPICAL PRINT

 Top: SheInside | Cardigan: Topshop | Jeans: M&S | Jacket: Mango | Shoes: ASOS | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
---------------------

As the weather gets nicer and nicer (not today, sod's law) I'm trying keep things lighter in terms of prints and palette. I spotted this pretty tropical print on SheInside some time ago for only just over £6 and had to purchase! Not only does it incorporate all of my favourite tones of green, but the back is really interesting, with the slit and knot detail. Such a lovely piece to wear with high-waisted denim shorts this summer! Sun, please return!

PRIMARK PLAYSUIT

Playsuit: Primark | Jacket: Mango | Shoes: ASOS | Necklace: Bijou Brigitte | Sunnies: ALDO | Bag: H&M
-------------------------------

I couldn't quite believe my eyes when I spotted this gorge playsuit in Primark during one of my many frequent weekend browses. The quality is so great, the fit is fantastic, the print is pretty and nothing like anything I've seen in Primark this season, and as for the price - well, at only £14, an absolute steal!

I must say that I'm extremely pleased with this purchase; it was one of those items that I just couldn't leave the shop without. It's one of those versatile Spring/Summer pieces that's easy to dress down or up, make even girlier, or add a slight edge to, as I've done with the studded monk shoes and leather jacket here. The statement necklace and cat-eye sunglasses, which make lovely contrasts to the tougher accessories, do wonders to balance out the whole look.

I can't wait to find some more pieces like this in Primark!

PLAIN WHITE TEE

T-shirt: Primark | Jeans: Topshop | Leather jacket: Mango | Shoes: Converse | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Nails: Sonic Blue by Collection | Rings: (left) Portobello Market & (right) Topshop
---------------------------

Here's a quick post featuring some skinnies I haven't worn in a while! Sometimes, if I'm feeling casual and lazy, I love throwing a simple white tee on, with some comfy jeans and a pair of Converse. A pop of colour like maroon can take an outfit from the samey monochrome vibe you always seem to be going for, to something equally as cool and more interesting! Also, the electric blue nails and silver rings are a perfect balance between feminine and edgy, which make for a great contrast to the whole look.

SLIGHTLY SEVENTIES

Top: Choies | Dress: Bershka | Bag: H&M | Loafers: ASOS | Choker: Topshop | Scarf: Portobello Market | Coat: Zara
------------------------------

It's all about the 70s this season and I'm looooving it! I've always been a huge fan of chilled out and pretty bohemian styles, but it's never come particularly naturally to me. This pinafore dress I featured a couple of posts back (here) is such a great versatile piece - just add a flowy paisley/porcelain print shirt and a tassel bag, and voilĂ , you have yourself a seventies inspired look!

PORTOBELLO MARKET

Vintage jumper | H&M jeans | Vans trainers | Michael Kors bag | Mango leather jacket
-------------------------

I headed into Portobello Market for the first time ever last weekend, and opted for a warm and comfortable outfit, mainly because the weather's been sooo indecisive recently! I went for my cosy vintage jumper and stripy jeans, adding a slight pop of colour with my old purple Vans; a simple and kinda grungy look appropriate for a good few hours of browsing and perusing.
