LESS IS MORE

Here's a simple outfit I wore on the weekend; comfortable and simple for a long day of mooching around Camden! I love that it's getting chilly enough to wear chunky knits and jumpers! I've never really worn these mom jeans with anything other than crop tops or simple t-shirts, but I think they look so cute paired with this slightly cropped jumper. Silly me, I forgot my belt, which would have cinched my waist in, and completed the entire look just that bit better, but oh well!

I definitely think that less is more sometimes, and comfort is definitely key when you're walking around the streets of London for a whole day!

Beachy

Here's a simple beach outfit I wore the other day; these vintage Levi's shorts are super comfortable and can be worn in so many different styles! Another wardrobe discovery this week was my canvas aztec drawstring bag, which is pretty spacious and probably more appropriate for the beach than the leather satchel I featured in my last post.

One of my good friends bought me this amazing goldy & purple glitter nail polish for my birthday! It applies so well, as opposed to one of the American Apparel ones I have, and I used a nude/pink base for a pretty contrast.

Fringe

I'm back home in Gibraltar for a couple of weeks, taking a well earned break from my course to visit my friends and family! It's soooo good to finally be back in the sun, indulging in great food and lengthy daily beach sessions! On a blogging-related positive, I now have more people around me who can help take my photos, so I figured I'd try and post my daily outfits consistently during these 2 weeks.

I love going back home after a good while and finding things I had forgotten I even had! I found this gorge leather tasseled satchel lying in my wardrobe; a perfect piece to add an edge to any outfit - and perfect for the beach too!

These types of sunnies don't usually suit my small face, but I managed to find this great cat-eye pair in Aldo, which are actually quite subtle and more wearable than some other pairs I've seen in other shops!

I finally got some sandals!

YAAAAY! I hunted and I found!

I finally got myself a pair of sandals! The days of only ever wearing boots are over :D I got these babies from Schuh, and after seeing many similar to these in loads of different shops, I finally came to a decision, and loved the way these fit.

(Apologies in advance for my manky toe-nail polish - or lack there of it)

Also, check out this funky earring I found in the Urban Outfitters' sale; thought it was quite different and quirky and not something that I'd usually think of buying!

I also found this crop/t-shirt in the UO sale - I love the way it sits loosely on the shoulders, plus I really needed more simple-but-pretty tops that I could just thrown on to go with pretty much anything.

- SHEER & SPORTY -

I went back home to Gibraltar for the Easter weekend, and amidst the massive pile of shoes in my closet, I rediscovered these Original Converse high top sneakers that I used to be obsessed with! I was so so excited to bring them back to London and revitalise them; almost like giving them a new life!

That's one of the best things about keeping all my old clothes and shoes, even when I'm convinced that I'm totally over them. Some might call it hoarding, but there's nothing better than spotting something you used to wear years ago, and seeing it in an entirely new light. I think I'd wear these so differently now to how I used to a few years back!

Regarding the outfit, I know how I keep banging on about my lack of funds (still very much lacking) but I'm so so in love with the white trend that's been lingering around for a while now; it's so clean and fresh for the Spring and Summer months. I also love sheer pieces, but I realised that I barely owned anything neither white NOR sheer.

So I decided to hit Primark in the hope of finding a few bargains! And BAM; I managed to kill two birds with one stone with this cute t-shirt. I accidentally bought it 4 sizes too big, but after parading around my living room with it on for a while, I realised that my mistake may have in fact been a serendipity, as many things are, because I think I like it much more in that oversized look as opposed to fitted and tight!

I don't know about you guys, but when I discover something new, and I like it, you won't see me wearing anything else! Watch out for my next blogpost, where I'll team this sheer top with a slightly more chic look!

| The Ragged Priest |

I finally got my hands on the SNAKEBITE DRESS by The Ragged Priest, which I've had my eye on for aaaages. I pretty much love all the pieces in their new collection, but I decided to go with this one, because, surprise surprise, it's grey, nothing new there. Also, it's super versatile and easy to wear, not to mention, it's frikkin' snake skin print, which, come to think of it, I've never really owned before.

I'm in love with the material; it's really stretchy and sort of waxy, so you can literally just iron out creases with your hands - very convenient for a girl who isn't a fan of the whole ironing malarkey. I love the way it hangs loosely on the body too, without making it look like you're wearing a bin bag as a poor excuse for a dress.

Loving loving loving my new fishnet socks! I really went through a crazy fishnet tights obsession a couple of years ago, but it had never really occurred to me to wear them as socks, which I think look super snazzy with cut-out boots or chunky heels.

I feel like this dress is going to become one of the staple items in my wardrobe that I wear to death!

YAY!
