NEUTRAL

I've been trying to keep things a bit more colourful recently. We're in for some great weather soon, and I'm attempting to steer my natural inclinations towards brighter and happier clothing. We'll see how that goes. This look is pretty neutral and simple; perfect for a chilly walk around London, but for me, it's the back of the knit that makes this entire look. It's soo gorgeous; I really wish it was on the front to be honest!

I picked this knit up from a cute boutique near my flat in Spain, in Sotogrande. Sometimes it's so nice to have interesting boutique pieces that make an outfit individual. I paired it up with my grey jeans, and purple suede booties for a lovely colour palette,

SOMETHING PINK FOR ONCE

I honestly don't think I own a single pink item of clothing, and I've never generally been a huge fan or wearer of pink throughout my life, so I thought I'd switch it up a bit and get myself this snug jumper. It's quite a nice dusty tone - don't really even know what that means, but y'know, not the super bright fuchsia colour? Also, I really love (and always have) the contrast between pink and grey. So voilĂ !

STUDDED MONK SHOES

After publishing my previous blog post (here), I really couldn't get these studded monk shoes out of my head, and finally caved. Considering that they were on sale, reduced from £35 to just £19, it was an offer I couldn't really pass up, especially since I've been after a simple pair of black brogues/loafers for ages. I needed some shoes that went with pretty much anything, especially my white jeans and mom jeans, which I usually find quite hard pairing with any of the shoes I already own. These babies are super comfortable but are also versatile and quite unique due to the studs and monk strap; a detail that I've been seeing all over the place recently.

I also picked up this grey jumper from H&M; like I don't have enough grey in my wardrobe - doh! In all seriousness, though, many of the grey jumpers I do own, I find quite restricting, either in size or fit, but this one is just perfect! It's slightly over-sized, but still feminine, extremely soft and also stretchy, which allows for more movement.

I teamed the jeans and shoes with a simple V-neck tee from Primark (the boys' section of course) and added a hint of girliness (but not too much) with the Chanel dupe bag. It was given to me by my boyfriend's mum after a spring clean of her wardrobe. She told me it was a fake, so I'll take her word for it, but it honestly looks and feels as real as can be - such great quality, and such an awesome touch to a simple outfit!

I'm also loving the cute bracelets in Urban Outfitters recently!

Next, I'm going to try and experiment with my monk shoes for a slightly more edgy and out-there look! Watch this space!

LESS IS MORE

Here's a simple outfit I wore on the weekend; comfortable and simple for a long day of mooching around Camden! I love that it's getting chilly enough to wear chunky knits and jumpers! I've never really worn these mom jeans with anything other than crop tops or simple t-shirts, but I think they look so cute paired with this slightly cropped jumper. Silly me, I forgot my belt, which would have cinched my waist in, and completed the entire look just that bit better, but oh well!

I definitely think that less is more sometimes, and comfort is definitely key when you're walking around the streets of London for a whole day!

MEN'S JUMPERS > EVERYTHING

I'm such a sucker for comfy knits and jumpers; it's pretty much the best thing about the Autumn and Winter months! I don't know if it's just me, but I always tend to gravitate towards men's jumpers before women's ones! In this case, I decided to give Primark a cheeky browse last weekend, but the women's sections were so unbelievably packed that I could only bear facing the men's, which is where I picked up this little number! Serendipity, I guess!

I haven't worn my black skinnies and Doc Martens for quite a while, so I embraced the cooler weather to pair them with my new jumper! So simple but I love it!

Geometric - Camden

I looove this jumper I got myself from Urban Outfitters some time ago! It's pretty simple and can be worn with basically anything, but the clash of pretty aztec-y geometric patterns adds something a little extra to any plain & casual outfit. I also love that it's slightly cropped, adding a feminine touch and ensuring that it's not too boxy.

Cream & Crochet

Haven't worn my knit jumper in a while, but I dug it out of my wardrobe as soon as the warm weather began to kick in; its perfect with a vest underneath for a lovely but not-too-hot day. Also, I'm obsessed with the crochet back - kinda wish it was the front!

I managed to find this cute snood in the Topshop sale a while back; I felt like I needed a scarf that wasn't just black or cream coloured. It adds a great pop of colour to my usually monochrome ensembles.
