Oscars AFTER PARTIES

The infamous Oscars after-parties are a chance for all the A-listers to let their hair down and slip into something a little more fiesta-friendly, in preparation for a good long night of drinking and getting down on the dance floor.

The best known after parties are of course, the Vanity Fair party, the Governor's Ball, the Elton John AIDS foundation Oscars party, Madonna's annual party, and this year, the inaugural Fame and Philanthropy party.

Prior to Elton John's party, he and David Furnish hosted a viewing party which included an auction that raised an incredible $5.1 million for the AIDS Foundation.

THE OSCARS!

Everyone smashed it at the Oscars this year!

Regarding trends, a great array of muted shades and nudes dominated the red carpet, as did subtle metallics - Angelina Jolie in Elie Saab (YES!) and Jessica Biel in Chanel. To be honest, anyone who wears Elie Saab will look amazing - I'm glad that two Saab gowns made an appearance on the red carpet this year.

Midnight blue and other shades of blue in general was a popular choice, worn by Amy Adams, Sandra Bullock, and of course, Lupita Nyong'o, who looked increeeedible in a pale blue plunging Prada gown.

After seeing so many photos of Jennifer Lawrence in her recent Dior campaign, it was unsurprising to see her back in Dior - although she opted for a more sleek fit as opposed to last year's full and voluminous silhouette.
