NIKE AIR TRAINER 1 // SUBDUED ISLAND COLLECTION

Jumper: Weekday | Jeans: Topshop | Coat: M&S | Trainers: Nike via Offspring
--------------------------------------------------

Am I the only one who receives those relentless what-feels-like-daily e-mails from brands about their current offers or new in products? 99% of the time, my bank account dictates that I delete those e-mails without so much as a peep, but every so often, I can't resist a cheeky look.

This happened nearly a year ago with one of Footlocker's emails, advertising Nike's new range of Air Premiums from their "Subdued Island" collection; inspired by island landscapes, which apparently meant the coolest shades ever! As soon as I saw the 'Light Redwood' ones, they were mine! (emotionally)

At a painful £105, I couldn't justify the purchase, but I waited out loyally, and found them again several months later, reduced to just £45. By the way, they're now at £35, people! Anyway, I was really excited about these because I was anticipating some cool new outfits. They're the perfect pop of colour - not too bright, though - while also adding a chilled/street/androgynous vibe to any look. Oh and they're also SO comfy. I'm really starting to appreciate comfort in my old age...

LEATHER PANTS

Shirt: Topshop | Trousers: Zara | Shoes: ASOS | Faux fur coat: Choies
---------------------------------

I can't believe how comfy these Zara leather trousers are; I'm honestly still not over it! I've been lusting over these for ages, but never really rushed to get them because I assumed they would be incredibly uncomfortable, and comfort is increasingly becoming one of my top priorities. When I finally got round to trying them on, I was so pleasantly surprised, and with all the zip detailing, as well as the ribbed knees, aesthetically-speaking, these babies are my dream come true.

They're so easy to style, and the best thing is that you can create a really awesome and yet casual outfit, or pair them with a heel for a night out! I can't wait to tackle the approaching colder days in London, by pairing them with a really chunky knit jumper and some boots. For this warmer day back home in Gibraltar, though, I teamed them up with my cute striped shirt, and ASOS 'Miami' flats, for a cool balance between feminine and grungy.

PARTY LOOK: LEATHER SKIRT & SPARKLY TOP

Top: Peacocks | Skirt: H&M | Coat: Primark | Bag: Pimkie | Flats: Zara
------------------------------------------------

I've been after a faux leather skirt for ages, but due to my pear-shaped figure, I've never tried one on that didn't risk showing my bits after about 10 minutes into wearing it - why do they make them so short? Of course, this H&M one is still very short, there's no avoiding that fact, really, but I like how the slight A-line shape makes it more appropriate while also skimming over the hips to flatter my shape nicely.

I paired it with this sparkly high-neck top from Peacocks, which I have to say, sheds glitter like there's no tomorrow! Still, I absolutely love this look - it's one of those fantastic transitional outfits that's great for anything from a dinner, right to a party or club.

CHRISTMAS DAY OUTFIT

Dress: H&M | Belt: H&M | Pumps: Zara | Scarf: Avon
---------------------------------------

Better late than never I suppose! Even though our Christmas fever has long subsided by now, I figured I would still post this look, purely because it's so wearable and appropriate for so many different occasions - and at only £19.99 for this cute lace dress, where can you go wrong? At some point last year, I completely gave up on everything lace; I felt like it had been so over-done and it failed to draw me in, but when I saw this dress in H&M, the colour and general aesthetic had me immediately. It's so simple, but at the same time, I have nothing like it, and it's so easy to dress up for a nice dinner, or alternatively pair with chunky boots or even trainers, for a more casual vibe. The belt, also from H&M, was one of the most exciting purchases I'd made in a while, not only because it's incredibly versatile, but because I've finally found one that fits my little waist.
