PIMKIE PIECES

Jumper & Gilet: Pimkie | Jeans: Topshop | Shoes: ASOS
------------------------------------------

I was recently in Madrid, where I picked up this faux fur gilet and maroon knit from Pimkie; a brand that is fairly unknown in the UK. It's actually a French brand, and shops are found pretty much all over Europe! I used to shop there quite a lot when I was younger, and I re-discovered why that was as soon as I walked into the Madrid store. It's such a cool and casual label, offering fantastic value for money pieces - it kinda reminds me a bit of New Look.

I've been after a fur gilet for a while and really liked this creamy/brown-coloured one. Even though my usual colour palette consists of grey tones, I was really keen to purchase something that would push me to experiment with other colours outside of my comfort zone. I was also after a maroon jumper, and when I saw this one, with the tassel detailing, I thought it was just that little bit more unique than the bog standard knit jumper I see everywhere. I dug out my old ASOS studded monk shoes to finish off the whole look, teaming it all up with my ripped jeans of course! (I'm really gonna have to get myself some new jeans soon)

NEUTRAL

I've been trying to keep things a bit more colourful recently. We're in for some great weather soon, and I'm attempting to steer my natural inclinations towards brighter and happier clothing. We'll see how that goes. This look is pretty neutral and simple; perfect for a chilly walk around London, but for me, it's the back of the knit that makes this entire look. It's soo gorgeous; I really wish it was on the front to be honest!

I picked this knit up from a cute boutique near my flat in Spain, in Sotogrande. Sometimes it's so nice to have interesting boutique pieces that make an outfit individual. I paired it up with my grey jeans, and purple suede booties for a lovely colour palette,

MEN'S JUMPERS > EVERYTHING

I'm such a sucker for comfy knits and jumpers; it's pretty much the best thing about the Autumn and Winter months! I don't know if it's just me, but I always tend to gravitate towards men's jumpers before women's ones! In this case, I decided to give Primark a cheeky browse last weekend, but the women's sections were so unbelievably packed that I could only bear facing the men's, which is where I picked up this little number! Serendipity, I guess!

I haven't worn my black skinnies and Doc Martens for quite a while, so I embraced the cooler weather to pair them with my new jumper! So simple but I love it!

Wrap Dress from the Zara Sale

So the other day, I randomly checked my PayPal balance (expecting to see a big fat 0) and to my pleasant surprise, I had a lovely £12.00 just sitting there, waiting to be used. I picked up this gorge dusty pink wrap dress from the Zara sale, which actually has some amazing items right now that I did not expect to see there! I bagged it for only £9.99 - not only a great bargain, but it's also my birthday in a few days, so I justified it as a well deserved pressie from me to me :)

It is so so comfortable and soft, and I really love the nudey pink colour, especially the fact that it's kinda speckled, which gives it a lovely effect. I don't think I've ever owned a wrap dress either - but they're gorgeous, and super flattering to absolutely any body shape, especially if you're larger on the hip and bum area like I am. The low neckline and wrap detail on the bust enhances this area nicely, and I just find them generally so elegant and easy to dress down or up! Perfect :)

On another note, my hair is ridiculously long and verging on out-of-control-level, so I've been trying new hairstyles to keep it neat and tame. I've never been particularly great at doing my hair :( but an Asos tutorial popped up on my YouTube dashboard, and I tried it out - this being the result! Not badddd I guess; and I think it goes really nicely with the dress.

(Stole this photo off another post I did recently, because I forgot to take a photo of them this time round, but these are the sandals I wore with my outfit)

I tried to pair the dress with both a chunky black button-less knit cardigan, and a lighter nude cardigan. I'm not really sure which one I prefer! I guess they both work well, depending on the accessories you choose to wear!

Check out the Zara sale HERE. They have some great pieces up for grabs!

Cream & Crochet

Haven't worn my knit jumper in a while, but I dug it out of my wardrobe as soon as the warm weather began to kick in; its perfect with a vest underneath for a lovely but not-too-hot day. Also, I'm obsessed with the crochet back - kinda wish it was the front!

I managed to find this cute snood in the Topshop sale a while back; I felt like I needed a scarf that wasn't just black or cream coloured. It adds a great pop of colour to my usually monochrome ensembles.
