So I just got back from Thailand a week ago, and I'm only just getting over my post-holiday blues. I had never been to that part of the world before, and I can see why it's such a popular holiday and travel destination! I can't wait to go back as soon as I can, and explore more of what it has to offer! I packed so many clothes, and was so certain that I would return with at least five new and inspired outfits posts, but boy was I wrong. This is actually the only one - major fail - but we were constantly on the go, trying to make the most of every minute, and so I didn't actually have all that much time to stop and really think about my outfits, let alone take blog-worthy photos of them. It's okay though, because this dress is one of my newest purchases, and the item that I most wanted to feature anyway. I picked this up in the Zara sale for just £19.99, and was initially drawn in by the print. When I went to try it on though, I fell in love instantly. Not only is the quality amazing, but it fits me perfectly, and the fact that it hugs the waist and skims over the hips with a slight A-line shape, means that it's SO flattering, and would look good on practically every body shape. I teamed it up with last year's ASOS chain sandals; they're simple enough that I can style them with most looks, but the chain detail also adds that little something extra. On my hair, I'm wearing an adorable Grecian-style gold headband that I bought from Forever 21, which I think ties the entire look together perfectly. I just love being able to add little touches here and there that really make all the difference.

CHAIN SANDALS

These new ASOS sandals definitely took some time to break into; the chain detailing, which is the main reason I bought them, doesn't really allow for too much stretching, but finally, several blisters later, they're soft and comfy to wear. I love how that minimal detail can add so much to a look, and I also love the straps round the ankles, which gives them much more of a boho feel! I think they look so cool paired with my pinafore dress (genuinely think this dress has made 3 or 4 appearances on my blog already) and I absolutely love the colour combination between the orange, and the acid-washed black/grey.

ORANGE BODYCON

The sun finally graced us with its presence this past weekend - hallelujah! I thought it was the right time to whip out this cute orange bodycon dress from Missguided, although I decided to wear my Abercrombie shirt over it in anticipation of a very typically-English weather change - plus, I also really love the contrast in the colour palette and aesthetic. I topped it all off with my beaded sandals, fringed bag (what's new?) and statement necklace, which I felt was an effective accessory to the plain dress. I'll be experimenting with other ways to style this piece in the next few weeks; it's such a great  - and inexpensive - staple piece upon which a gorgeous outfit can be built upon!

I FOUND THESE DUNGAREES

I'm back in the motherland again, this time to enjoy one of the best weeks of the year; National Week! There's so much going on during this time, so I thought it was only right to make a cheeky visit home again and soak up some rays! This three quarter sleeved stripy top isn't exactly weather appropriate; I was dying of heat the entire day, but I thought it look so cute with my dungarees, which I pulled out from my wardrobe after forgetting they were even there! I'm definitely taking these back to London with me to style with chunky knits for the cooler weather.

It's such a simple outfit, but I thought it looked so cute paired with my strappy sandals and bowler hat, for a really nautical look.

I absolutely love this nail polish! I got it as a freebee in Cosmopolitan magazine, and I've never ever owned or worn a gold nail polish, so it was nice to try something different. It applies really easily and reminded me loads of the gel/shimmery ones from Topshop.

AUTUMN'S COMING

Hey guys! Just a quick outfit post; mainly to complain about the weather we've been having in London recently! It's now almost always overcast, rainy, and quite chilly - basically, it's unacceptable weather for August :( The only upside is that I really enjoy dressing for slightly cooler Autumn weather - it allows so many opportunities for layering & cool blazers or chunky knits! This kimono is perfect for this kind of weather, and looks awesome thrown over a simple, monochrome outfit! 

I'm also becoming more accustomed to wearing my white skinnies! They go with pretty much everything, but yet make for a more interesting look than the standard black skinny jeans I used to live in! Next, I'd like to get myself a slightly more dishevelled and ripped up pair! 

I got myself this new fringed leather bag while perusing the streets of London the other day with my friend. To be fair, it was less a matter of indulgence and more that I was actually in need of a cute bag in a colour other than black! I thought this was one was perfect to pair with loads of different outfits, as well as it being a great size, and also, I really can't pass up a bit of fringe!

BODY CHAIN

I got my hands on one of my long-lusting body chains some time ago, and I had never really found an opportunity to incorporate it into an outfit until now! I think it looks so cute and subtle worn underneath a crop top or bralet, paired with these high-waisted shorts, and the kimono only adds to the general understated vibe of the look.

This bralet is faux leather and, again, another incredible bargain from SheInside! It fits really well and it's actually incredibly comfortable and supportive!

This has to be one of my favourite nail polishes ever! It's by O.P.I. and is called 'PEACE & LOVE & OPI'. It's sort of like a gel consistency, so it's incredibly easy to apply, and also gives off a multi-toned effect - sometimes it's purple and sometimes it's green, which I love!

Cream Crochet

I absolutely love crochet everything, but because of it's delicate &; intricate nature, it's always so so expensive! So when I found this gorgeous cream crochet crop from SheInside for under £6, I didn't hesitate for a second! I teamed it up with my beaded sandals and my cute salmon-coloured high-waisted shorts - which, incidentally, didn't fit me at all in my slightly heavier days a couple of years ago. I was so happy to finally be able to wear them!

Dinosaur & Palm Trees

I'm not the biggest fan of pairing shorts and heels together, so that's why I love skorts so much! They're so easy to dress down for a beachy look but they can also be dressed up and worn with heels for a fancier occasion. In fact, I wore this tropical print pair on my birthday night out with a dainty black vest and lace-up heels. Stupidly, I forgot to take photos of that outfit to blog, but I think I'll recreate it soon, because it's been one of my favourite looks to date.

For this casual look, I teamed my skort with my strappy sandals (surprise surprise) and then I thought it would be interesting to wear a t-shirt that wasn't necessarily the most obvious choice to make. I felt that the lime colour of the dinosour would contrast the dark orange and green of the skort nicely, and also, if you look carefully, the outline of the palm trees is also a light lime colour!
